State Department Releases Draft Solicitation for Potential $8B Evolve IT Services IDIQ

The State Department issued a draft solicitation for the potential $8 billion Evolve contract for information technology platforms and support services in preparation for an industry day that is set to take place Monday, Oct. 25, for the acquisition effort.

Evolve is a suite of indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contracts and is composed of five pools: IT management; network services; cloud and data services; application development; customer and end user support services, according to a notice posted Thursday.

The Evolve IDIQ contract will have a five-year base term and may include option periods that could extend task orders by up to 60 months.

The department’s subject matter experts will discuss the bureau of information resource management’s vision and goals, provide an overview of the IDIQ contract, hold a cybersecurity briefing and talk about the five pools of Evolve during the virtual industry day.

In March, the department’s IRM bureau, which currently procures IT services through the Vanguard contract, issued a request for information to gather feedback and help inform its procurement strategy for the Evolve contract.
