GovernmentCIO to Help Modernize DEA IT Infrastructure Under $875M Task Order

GovernmentCIO and its Salient CRGT subsidiary will consolidate the Drug Enforcement Administration’s enterprise information technology systems under a seven-year, $875 million task order.

GovCIO said Thursday it will apply DevSecOps and Agile approaches to help the DEA build an integrated IT infrastructure for 16,000 agency users as part of the “Bluestone” project.

The goal of the project is to increase system accessibility, usability and security by modernizing older networks and systems used to manage DEA business processes.

Under the task order, GovCIO will also help the agency assess and implement cloud-based commercial platforms that can support network requirements.

The company secured the award under the General Services Administration’s Alliant 2 contract vehicle.

Salient CRGT, which pursued the project with DEA, was acquired by GovCIO in August as part of the latter’s federal IT market push.
