An industry team led by L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has secured a potential 10-year, $343 million contract to design a telecommunications network for an Australian government-owned air navigation service provider.
L3Harris said Tuesday it will lead a consortium tasked with planning and designing an integrated enterprisewide system for Airservices Australia‘s networking, radio communications and surveillance functions.
NTT Data will work on the overall design of the network and associated facilities, while Thales will plan the design and implementation of an Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast system.
Rohde & Schwarz will help update Airservices’ very-high-frequency radio network using voice-over-internet protocol technology.
Ventia will plan installations, design a site system and audit the location for the project.
