RiverTech will also provide live, virtual, constructive, academic and simulator instruction services to USAFE-AFAFRICA as part of the contract awarded under the General Services Administration’s One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services procurement vehicle, Akima said Tuesday.
Training services will include facilitating an instrument refresher course for USAFE airmen and teaching them in cockpit management, local area orientation and theater indoctrination.
Work under the ATLAS contract will take place at Aviano Air Base in Italy, Spangdahlem AB in Germany and Royal Air Force Lakenheath in the U.K.
“We are proud to deliver tactical, academic, and simulator instruction on mission sets and weapons employment so that USAFE-AFAFRICA personnel and resources can remain mission-focused,” said Scott Rauer, president of Akima’s facilities solutions group.
