George Franz, Ian Fogarty: DOD Should Embrace ‘Agile” Methodology to Manage Project Life Cycle

TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 12, 2021 — George Franz and Ian Fogarty, both managing directors within Accenture’s federal arm, outlined five principles they believe the Department of Defense can incorporate into an Agile product management framework to develop mission-critical systems, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The two AFS executives wrote in a joint guest piece for Breaking Defense that a large organization like DOD should embrace team, perform continuous progress checks, delegate decisions at the right level, integrate and prioritize efforts across activity streams and demonstrate leadership.

“Embracing Agile Product Management is the key to maintaining our technological edge — and the strategic preeminence it powers,” Franz and Fogarty added.
