She will oversee Iron Mountain's public sector business portfolio designed to help customer agencies address information management requirements, the data center and colocation services provider said Friday.
Carson most recently served as VP within SAIC's civilian market group and previously held executive positions during her three-decade career at Unisys' federal and commercial segments.
Her previous roles at Unisys Federal included finance VP, operations director and business unit chief financial officer.
“Government agencies and educational institutions are facing significant challenges in terms of digital transformation and records management,” Carson noted. “On the federal front, agencies are required to meet the National Archives and Records Administration’s (NARA’s) electronic records management directive by the end of 2022, while state and local agencies and educational institutions need to balance privacy issues with the effective delivery of information for citizen services."
She said that Iron Mountain aims to help government customers address these requirements.
