The Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded TriWest Healthcare Alliance a potential $5B contract to set up and maintain a network of health care providers and practitioners throughout the state of Alaska.
The contractor will manage and track quality outcomes; pay and process claims to improve health care experiences for veterans; use data and performance metrics to improve services; provide customer service; and act as a third-party administrator to deliver managed health care services, according to a presolicitation notice posted in April.
