Cybersecurity company Cyemptive Technologies has acquired Burlington, Wash.-based consultancy firm Interpreting Technology in a move to expand the former’s information technology portfolio and client base.
The acquisition comes as part of Cyemptive's plans to grow its footprint in areas such as computer forensics, cyber compliance and customer service, the company said Wednesday
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Jim DuBois, chief strategy officer at Cyemptive, said the company intends to leverage Interpreting Technology’s experience in supporting the development of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification vetting program for Department of Defense contractors.
Rob Pike, founder and CEO of Cyemptive, noted that the addition of Interpreting Technology’s team, as well as the latter’s ethical hacking and forensics expertise, brings “significant bench strength” to the Snohomish-based company.
Cyemptive offers cybersecurity management services and IT tools focused on perimeter defense. The company previously won a national competition for border security technologies under the Department of Homeland Security.
