TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 24, 2020 — Sean Berg, executive vice president and general manager of Forcepoint‘s global governments business, said analyzing how people interact with data will help organizations  to implement a preemptive cybersecurity risk management approach, ExecutiveBiz reported April 16.

“Adding a layer of defense fueled by behavioral analytics provides valuable context that allows organizations to separate truly malicious behavior from simple mistakes or lapses,” Berg wrote in an opinion piece for Fifth Domain published published April 15.

He added that the government should work with companies and academic entities in efforts to better understand the connection between human behavior and cybersecurity.
