McAleese & Associates Outlines Four Key Themes From Ellen Lord’s Pentagon Briefing

Jim McAleese, founder of McAleese & Associates and a 2019 Wash100 awardee, highlights in a new report four primary messages from Pentagon acquisition chief Ellen Lord at a press briefing Friday, including the launch of the Department of Defense’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program in January.

Lord, a 2019 Wash100 recipient, also emphasized that developing counter-unmanned aircraft system platforms and strategies is a top priority for DoD and expressed her confidence in efforts by Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) to address F-35 manufacturing quality challenges.

She added the Pentagon and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) are moving forward with the department-wide cloud computing program, called Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure.
