MAG Aerospace Adds Navy Work Through Ausley Purchase; Joe Fluet Quoted

Joe Fluet

MAG Aerospace has bought Lexington Park, Md.-based unmanned aviation system and program development services contractor Ausley Associates for an undisclosed sum in a move to expand work with the U.S. Navy.

MAG said Friday it will absorb more than 200 logistics, program management and systems engineering professionals as part of the deal.

Joe Fluet, MAG CEO and founder, said Ausley has more than two decades of experience working with Naval Air Systems Command and the purchase will grow the former’s services to the service branch and other aviation customers.

The transaction comes two months after MAG purchased Titusville, Fla.-based North American Surveillance Systems.

MAG also relocated its headquarters to Fairfax County, Va., from the company’s former corporate office in Sterling.
