Intel Closes NASA’s AI-Focused Space Research Program With Demonstration Event


TYSONS CORNER, VA, August 20, 2018 — Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) hosted a demonstration to close an eight-week NASA research program that focused on using artificial intelligence to address challenges in space science and exploration missions, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The company said Thursday the NASA Frontier Development Lab Event Horizon 2018: AI+Space Challenge Review marked the completion of the program and featured presentations on studies involving the implementation of AI to predict solar activity, map lunar poles and develop 3D models of potentially hazardous asteroids, among others.
