AT&T Connects 2,500 Sites to Band 14 Spectrum for Increased FirstNet Coverage

TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 24, 2018 — AT&T (NYSE: T) has provided connectivity with the Band 14 spectrum for public safety communications to approximately 2,500 of the more than 10,000 target U.S. sites under the First Responder Network Authority program’s build-out phase, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The company said Friday the Band 14 deployment serves to boost the coverage and capacity of first responders subscribed to FirstNet and is currently undergoing tests in more than 40 states, with the first deployable network assets dedicated to FirstNet now available for use.
