General Atomics Picks Industry Partners in Bid for Canada’s RPA Project


TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 31, 2018 — General Atomics’ aeronautical systems unit has created an industry team aimed at addressing Canada’s requirements for multimission remotely piloted aircraft systems, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The company said Tuesday it partnered with CAE, L3 Technologies’ (NYSE: LLL) Wescam subsidiary and Maxar Technologies’ (NYSE: MAXR) MDA business to form Team SkyGuardian Canada.

The team will offer the MQ-9B SkyGuardian drone for the Canadian military’s RPAS project, which seeks a medium-altitude, long-endurance RPA as well as related systems and services.
