DynCorp International will compete for task orders to provide logistics services for the U.S. Army‘s Program Executive Office for Aviation under a potential 10-year, $25.5 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.The Non-Standard Rotary Wing PEO-Aviation and the Army Contracting Command awarded DynCorp a position on the Worldwide Contractor Logistics Support IDIQ that contains a five-year base period and a five-year option, the company said Tuesday.
WLSS-C covers aircraft sustainment engineering and modifications, maintenance planning, handling, support equipment maintenance, packaging, transportation and storage services to the Defense Department, U.S. allies and foreign military sales customers.
Joe Ford, president of DynCorp’s aviation business, said the company currently provides similar support services in Afghanistan through the MD530 program.
