Boeing Gets $282M Contract Modification for Lot 10 P-8A Long Lead Parts


Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received a $282.3 million contract modification to obtain components for lot 10 P-8A Poseidon maritime aircraft for the U.S. Navy, Norway and the U.K.

The company will obtain long lead items needed to manufacture 19 Poseidon units and perform work under the modification through March 2022, the Defense Department said Monday.

DoD noted the award’s full value combines funds from the Navy’s fiscal 2018 budget and foreign military sales.

Locations of work include Washington, New York, Illinois, North Dakota, California, Maryland and U.K.

P-8 is designed to support anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
