Bob Pragada: Jacobs to Continue Military Construction Support in NAVFAC SW Region

Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) will continue to support construction projects at military installations across the Naval Facilities Engineering Command’s southwest area of responsibility through a five-year, $99 million contract awarded to its joint venture with EwingCole.

The JV will help plan, design and build large government facilities, including U.S. Navy and Marine Corps buildings, in support of the Military Construction Program, Jacobs said Tuesday.

Bob Pragada, president of Jacobs’ building and infrastructure business, said the contract extends the company’s seven-year partnership with NAVFAC SW.

Work will also include the production of planning and programming support documents, technical assessments and identification of hazardous materials.

The Jacobs-EwingCole venture received a separate contract last year to provide general architect engineering services for the Cadet Barracks Upgrade program at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York.
