Boeing to Start Service Life Modifications on Navy Super Hornet Fleet in April

TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 28, 2017 — Boeing (NYSE: BA) will begin to implement updates on the U.S. Navy‘s F/A-18E/F Super Hornet aircraft in April 2018 at a company facility in Missouri, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

Flightglobal reported Friday the Block III modifications will serve to address issues such as corrosion using predictive analytics, with the goal to extend the aircraft’s service life by an additional 3,000 flight hours and increase their stealth capabilities.
