Four companies have won spots on a potential five-year, $235 million contract to support the U.S. Navy‘s munitions response, range sustainment and environmental remediation efforts.

The Defense Department said Thursday 10 proposals were submitted to the Naval Facilities Engineering Command for the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via an online solicitation.

Contractors can vie for task orders to help the service branch clear munition and explosive residues as well as maintain small-arms range facilities at various locations within and outside continental U.S.

The awardees are:

  • Bering Sea Eccotech

  • USA Environmental

The Navy obligated $20,000 in fiscal 2017 environmental restoration contract funds at the time of award and will finance future task orders with environmental restoration; and operations and maintenance funds.

Contract work is scheduled to be completed in August 2022.
