TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 24, 2017 — Parsons has received recognition from the American Planning Association for the company’s West Pond environmental assessment project in New York, GovCon Executive reported Tuesday.

APA’s federal planning division gave Parsons the Honor Award for Outstanding Environmental Planning Project for its support to the National Park Service in the development of ecosystem recovery and restoration as well as ecological resilience measures at West Pond, the company said Monday.

“Parsons’ collaboration with the National Park Service resulted in numerous ecosystem and visitor use benefits while solving multiple engineering and community challenges in this dynamic environment at Gateway National Recreation Area,” said Carey Smith, Parsons federal group president and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2017.
