General Atomics’ Predator C Extended-Range Version Undergoes First Flight

General AtomicsTYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 14, 2016 — The extended-range version of General AtomicsPredator C Avenger remotely piloted aircraft has completed its first flight over the company’s Gray Butte Flight Operations Facility in California, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems designed the Avenger Extended Range with a fuel capacity of more than 2, 200 pounds as well as ISR and precision-strike functions to allow flight of up to 20 hours to support ISR and ground support missions, the company said Thursday.
