The Transportation Department has awardedNoblis a potential five-year, $202 million contract for technical services to the joint program office for intelligent transportation systems at DOT’s Federal Highway Administration agency.
Noblis said Thursday it will provide subject matter expertise and tools that can work to help FHWA facilitate and align the ITS program with the department’s strategic goals under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
DOT established the ITS program to address domestic surface transportation challenges related to connected and automated vehicles, enterprise data and interoperability as well as research, test and accelerate the deployment of modern technology.
Mile Corrigan, vice president of transportation systems at Noblis, said the company has supported FHWA over the past 25 years and the ITS program since its inception.
Noblis is scheduled to finish contract-related work August 2021.
