Elbit Systems’ EFW Unit Wins $103M Army Contract for Mortar Weapon Systems


Mortar stockA business unit of Elbit Systems (Nasdaq: ESLT) has won a potential five-year, $103 million contract to manufacture 60mm, 81mm and 120mm mortar weapon systems for the U.S. Army.

The Defense Department said Wednesday Elbit Systems unit EFW will perform work under the firm-fixed-price contract through Sept. 13, 2021.

The Army Contracting Command received three bids for the procurement effort through an online-based solicitation and will provide funds and determine performance location upon issuance of each order.

Fort Worth, Texas-based EFW produces airborne technologies such as stores management systems, display processors, digital moving maps, integrated avionics systems, sustainability platforms and weapon replaceable assemblies for U.S. and international defense customers.
