Science Systems and Applications Inc. has landed a $253.4 million NASA contract to provide atmospheric sciences support services to the Langley Research Center science directorate.
NASA said Wednesday the 60-month Science, Technology and Research Support Services III contract is a follow-on award that seeks to widen scientific knowledge on Earth’s climate and atmosphere and could also lead to interplanetary atmospheric studies in the future.
Under STARSS III, SSAI will support space flight and ground-based measurements, instrument technology development, instruments on suborbital platforms, data analysis, climate data records management and related educational activities, NASA added.
SSAI is a Lanham, Md.-based science and technology small business that works to provide Earth and space science services, including research and development, engineering and information analytics.
