Darron Makrokanis, a former program manager and senior business development executive at Splunk, has joined Tenable Network Security as vice president of the company’s federal sales division.
He brings defense, intelligence and law enforcement market experience to his new roleÂ andÂ will be responsible for theÂ organization’s expansion strategy in the federal cybersecurity market, Â Mike Kirby, senior VPÂ of worldwide sales at Tenable Network Security, said Monday.
Makrokanis has managedÂ strategic partnerships between SplunkÂ and federal system integrators during his time at the big data management company.
Before that, he oversawÂ Booz Allen Hamilton‘s (NYSE: BAH)Â business development activities withinÂ the government sector as well asÂ ledÂ criminal investigations andÂ special operations inÂ two MarylandÂ counties for more than 10 years.
He also currently serves as a U.S. Navy Reserve officer.
