Andy Leone Joins Apprio as Health Programs EVP

ApprioAndy Leone, a more than 10-year government healthcare information technology veteran, has joined Apprio as executive vice president of health programs at the Washington-based specialized technology company.

He will also oversee the company’s support of health IT projects at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services through the agency’s Strategic Partners Acquisition Readiness Contract vehicle, Apprio said Monday.

Leone previously held executive positions at SRA International and General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology unit, where he oversaw the project management office within the subsidiary’s health group.

He has also managed the Customer Support for Medicare Modernization, Retiree Drug Subsidy System, ViPS Medicare System, Drug Data Processing System, Early Retiree Reinsurance Program and other federal health IT initiatives in his previous roles.
