Rolls-Royce Secures $100M Contract for Air Force Turbine Engines Program

Rolls-RoyceRolls-Royce‘s North American technologies business has secured a potential $100 million contract to develop and upgrade turbo-propulsion engines for the U.S. Air Force’s fleet under phase III of the Versatile Affordable Advanced Turbine Engines program.

The military branch received 34 bids for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

The company will carry out work in Indianapolis through June 23, 2023.

The Air Force Research Laboratory is committing $145, 163 in fiscal 2014 research, test, development and evaluation funds at the time of award.
