Air Force Issues $750M Ceiling Increase for Strategic Transformation Support IDIQ

Eight companies have secured a $750 million ceiling increase modification under a U.S. Air Force contract to continue providing advisory and assistance services to help the service branch’s deputy leadership manage and improve enterprise-level strategic transformation initiatives.

The modification brings the total value of the Air Force Strategic Transformation Support indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery contract to $2.75 billion and extends support to the deputy chief management officer and the deputy assistant secretary of the Office of Business Transformation, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Accenture (NYSE: ACN), BCG Federal, Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH), Deloitte Consulting, Digital Mobilizations Inc., Grant Thornton Public Sector, KPMG and McKinsey & Co. received spots on the IDIQ in June 2020.

DOD expects work under AFSTS to conclude by June 16, 2027.

In June 2023, the Air Force began seeking industry comments on a draft acquisition strategy for the AFSTS II contract worth approximately $3 billion to $5 billion.

The Air Force intends to launch a full-and-open competition for the new contract vehicle, which may cover the development and use of IT products and services to help agencies address their transformational needs.
