General Dynamics, Expal Land Army Weapons Recycling Contracts


Chemical weaponsGeneral Dynamics (NYSE: GD) and Expal USA have won separate contracts to recycle and dispose of weapons for the U.S. Army as part of the service branch’s demilitarization efforts.

The Defense Department said Wednesday General Dynamics received a potential $225.6 million contract and Expal USA secured an estimated $155.9 million contract for the services.

DoD expects both companies to complete work under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts on June 30, 2020.

The service will provide the funds and assign the work venues per each task order, DoD said.
