Battelle-Led Team to Support Army Logistics Operations; Michael Mannion Comments


ArmyLogisticsA Battelle-led consortium has been awarded a multiyear, $30 million contract to provide logistics and analytical services for the U.S. Army‘s force generation programs.

Battelle said Thursday it will support Army G-4 in partnership with the Logistics Management Institute, Quantum Research International and Connected Logistics.

Michael Mannion, business leader for logistics lifecycle analytics at Battelle, said the company plans to use methods and tools to help the military branch manage its supply chain.

The contract also includes planning, concept development, integration and technical support work and was awarded through the General Services Administration‘s One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services vehicle.

G-4 oversees logistics policy planning, inventories, prepositioned stocks and management information systems delivery operations at the Army.

The State Department has approved the requests of the governments of Poland and the Netherlands to buy an extended-range variant of the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile system, related equipment and support services from the U.S. government under two foreign military sales deals worth approximately $2 billion combined.
