Alan Marc Smith: Millstein Targets Govt IT Market Expansion With DLT Buy

acquisitionFinancial advisory firm Millstein & Co. has acquired DLT Solutions for an undisclosed amount with the goal of helping DLT to expand its information technology offerings in the government market.

DLT said Friday that Alan Marc Smith, a more than 25-year industry veteran and operating partner at Millstein, has joined DLT as president and CEO.

“We are very bullish on the continued expansion and adoption of IT, especially software, across this marketplace, ” Smith said.

Rick Marcotte, who has led DLT over the past 10 years, will be vice chairman of the company’s board of directors and serve as a consultant to the firm.

DLT resells software products for cloud computing, data center consolidation, computer-aided design and geospatial data management across the public sector.

The company also delivers IT offerings through the Internet2 NET+, U.S. Communities, Solutions for Enterprise Wide Procurement contract vehicles, as well as through enterprise license agreements with multiple federal agencies.
