DARPA picked the company under the agency’s Arrays at Commercial Timescales program to build electronically scanned array antennas that have a reconfigurable interface and can direct radar beams faster, Rockwell Collins said Tuesday.
âThrough this program, we are leveraging our efforts in commercial and military applications to increase the performance of a wide range of applications, including data links, communications, precision timing/navigation, and electronic warfare, ” said John Borghese, vice president at Rockwell Collins Advanced Technology Center.
DARPA’s goal is to shorten antenna design cycles as well as reduce technology procurement costs by at least 80 percent, according to Rockwell Collins.
