
Mark Owen, a retired U.S. Air Force brigadier general and formerly an executive vice president at Civergy, has been appointed CEO of the Landover, Md.-based contractor.
The former U.S. Strategic Command policy and plans director and led work to integrate New West Technologies into Civergy following the latter company’s acquisition of New West in January,  Civergy said Tuesday.
He will lead Civergyâs work to integrate cybersecurity, energy security, business intelligence, engineering, alternative transportation and workflow management services into a single organization.
âMark has outstanding credentials, with a background that includes USAF planning and strategy, and developmental engineering activities with complex space and missile systems, â said Mark Gray, Civergy chairman.
Following his military career, he worked at companies such as Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) and National Securities Technologies.
