Paul Jona, formerly CEO and chairman of CoActive Technologies, has been appointed a senior vice president at Cobham SATCOM.
He started his new role at Cobham on March 3 and will work with incumbent SVP Walther Thygesen, who plans to retire from the company in June, Cobham said Monday.
Jona, a 30-year technology industry veteran, served as SVP and corporate officer at Amphenol Corp.’s cable systems group, which had $300 million in revenue and 2, 500 employees.
The Canada-born Dutch national is also a former duPont executive and has worked in the Netherlands, U.S., Switzerland, Denmark and Germany.
Thygesen has led Cobham SATCOM since July 2012 and served as CEO of Thrane & Thrane (now Cobham SATCOM) for seven years prior to that company’s acquisition by Cobham.
