David Thombs , former chief strategy officer and executive vice president of strategy and business development at SI2 Technologies , has been named deputy chief technology officer at Antenna Research Associates .
He announced his new role Sunday on LinkedIn and will concurrently serve as ARA’s CTO and VP of technology strategy.
Thombs was instrumental in ARA’s acquisition of SI2 , where he previously drove market positioning and business growth.
His career at SI2 began in December 2016 as EVP for business development and strategy. In September 2022, ARA wrapped up the purchase and made SI2 a wholly owned subsidiary.
Previously, Thombs spent more than two decades at British defense company Cobham in business development, advanced technology and engineering roles.
