Sheila Jordan Joins Symantec as CIO; Stephen Gillett Comments

SymantecSheila Jordan has been appointed to serve as the next chief information officer of Symantec, where she will be responsible for the company’s information technology strategy and operations and work to advance the Symantec 4.0 plan.

Jordan most recently served as senior vice president of IT communication and collaboration at Cisco and worked there for nine years, Symantec announced Monday.

She will report to Stephen Gillett, Symantec chief operating officer, who said Jordan will be responsible for helping manage technology investments and staying ahead of trends.

Symantec says she brings experience in multi-platform enterprise collaboration, mobile channels, Bring Your Own Device issues and women’s leadership initiatives to the company.
