Dan Hart Named Boeing Gov’t Satellite Systems VP in Exec Shuffle

Boeing Logo w-borderDan Hart, a vice president and program manager at Boeing (NYSE: BA), has been appointed VP of government satellite systems for the company’s space and intelligence systems business.

Hart’s appointment is one of four movements in the S&IS executive leadership team that take effect immediately, Boeing said Monday.

He will lead the company’s Wideband Global SATCOM, Global Positioning System, Tracking and Data Relay Satellite, Payload Programs, Experimental Systems Group and Advanced Information Technology programs.

Hart succeeds Paul Rusnock, who will serve as VP of national programs and succeed the retiring Claire Leon.

Jim Simpson, formerly VP of business development for the S&IS business, has elevated to president of the satellite systems international and commercial satellite services organizations.

Simpson succeeds the retiring Steve O’Neill and Bruce Chesley, formerly a director in the S&IS business, will assume Simpson’s former role of business development VP.

Chesley will oversee business development operations, personnel and budgets for programs involving national security, military navigation and communication, civil and commercial space, and intelligence programs.
