Lockheed Awarded $105M for Air Force SATCOM Logistics

lockheed martinLockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has been awarded a $105, 083, 207 contract modification to help operate and sustain two satellite communications systems for the U.S. Air Force.

This modification covers the fourth option year of a cost-plus-award-fee contract for Milstar and the Defense Satellite Communications System, the Defense Department said Friday.

Orbital operations and logistics sustainment work will occur in Sunnyvale, Calif. through Nov. 30, 2014.

The Air Force is obligating $17.5 million in fiscal year 2014 operations and maintenance funding at the time of award.
