Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (NASDAQ: KTOS) has won a $2 million contract to research and develop an aerothermal analysis technology for the U.S. Army‘s high-speed vehicles.
Kratos will build technology to evaluate thermal protection systems on the Army’s existing and future hypersonic platforms, the company said Monday.
Dave Carter, president of Kratos’ defense and rocker support services division, said the company designs hypersonic tool sets for government and industry customers to use in sea, land or space applications.
The Army‘s program executive office for simulation, training and instrumentation awarded the contract to Kratos under the High Speed Systems Test Science & Technology Test Technology Area program.
