Bernie Guerry Promoted to General Dynamics IT Intell Solutions SVP, GM; Dan Johnson Comments

Bernie Guerry, formerly a vice president and general manager at the General Dynamics Information Technology (NYSE: GD) business unit, has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of intelligence solutions.

He will oversee 4, 600 employees that work with customers in sectors such as the U.S. defense and intelligence communities and NATO, General Dynamics said Wednesday.

Guerry succeeds Thomas Kirchmaier, who now serves as president of the General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems business unit.

Dan Johnson, president of General Dynamics IT, said Guerry has led large organizations and national security programs for more than 25 years.

Guerry most recently served as VP and GM of the business unit’s national intelligence sector since 2006 and also led operations for security, information systems, training and development.

Before joining General Dynamics, Guerry worked in the federal government for 22 years and has also served on the Office of Management and Budget’s Federal Acquisition Council.

He is a member of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance’s board of directors, AFCEA International and the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation.
