Boeing Wins $137M Contract to Remanufacture Apache Helicopters

Boeing Co.’s (NYSE: BA) defense, space and security business has won a $136, 757, 822 Defense Department award to remanufacture AH64A aircraft into AH64D aircraft.

The ‘D’ model of the Apache attack helicopters features a glass cockpit and an advanced sensor suite with a Fire Control Radar target acquisition system.

The Pentagon announced Tuesday the award is a firm-fixed-price contract that modifies a contract Boeing had previously won.

Contract work will be performed in Mesa, Ariz. and the Pentagon’s estimated completion date is Dec. 31, 2013.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity. One bid was received for one bid solicited.
