Deloitte Names Vet Hill Staffer Jonathan Traub To Lead Legislative Tax Team

Jonathan Traub, former staff director for the House Ways and Means Committee, has joined Deloitte‘s Washington national tax practice.

The professional services organization said Monday he will manage a team focusing on legislative proposals and practical issues regarding tax proposals around the company’s clients.

The former House senior staff member succeeds Clint Stretch, who previously announced his retirement.

Traub was named Republican staff director for the Committee of Ways and Means in 2008. Throughout the last several years he has worked closely with the Tax Relief Act of 2010, the Budget Control Act and the Joint Select Committee of Deficit Reduction.

Prior to his service in the House, he was vice president for tax legislation at the Securities Industry Association.

“I’m thrilled to join Deloitte Tax, and I look forward to sharing my experience with clients during a critical time for tax policy, ” said Traub.
