Northrop Wins $47M for Hawkeye Spare Parts, Avionics

Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE: NOC) has won $47 million in U.S. Navy orders to support the branch’s Hawkeye fleet, the Defense Department announced Friday.

Under a $31, 423, 996 delivery order, the company will provide spare parts for low rate initial production.

The Pentagon expects that delivery to complete in August 2016.

A second delivery order, worth $15, 343, 569, is for 146 avionic units and the Pentagon expects that delivery to complete in April 2016.

The Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity on the firm-fixed-price orders.

Northrop also recently won a $262 million Navy award to develop and deliver two vertical take-off drones.
