Lockheed Wins $126M Helicopter Avionics Foreign Sale

Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) has won a $126, 512, 656 contract modification to provide the U.S. Navy with helicopter avionics systems and common cockpits.

The Defense Department said the company’s mission systems and sensors unit will provide 24 systems and cockpits to support a foreign military sales agreement with Australia.

The Australian navy will use the equipment on its MH-60R fleet.

Fifty-eight percent of work will occur in Owego, N.Y. and the Pentagon expects the work to finish by March 2017.

The Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity for the advance acquisition contract.
