BAE Wins $52M for USS Ramage Drydock

BAE Systems Inc. has won a $51, 958, 270 U.S. Navy contract modification for drydock services on the USS Ramage, the Defense Department announced Friday.

Work under the Extended Drydocking Selected Restricted Availability will include planning and implementation of depot-level maintenance, ship repairs and technical upgrades.

The company’s Norfolk Ship Repair unit will perform work in Norfolk, Va. and the Pentagon expects the work to finish by November.

Contract funds expire at the end of the current fiscal year and the Norfolk Ship Support Activity is the contracting activity.

BAE was recently included in a team of companies on a potential $1.5 billion Navy contract to transfer legacy vessels to foreign buyers.
