DRS Technologies has received $36.9 million in follow-on delivery orders from the U.S. Army‘s Research, Development and Engineering Command.
The orders were placed under a five-year $84 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with the Joint Program Executive Office for chemical and biological defense in Falls Church, Va.
DRS will provide more than 1, 600 small-scale joint service transportable decontamination systems for use by the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps.
The systems support operational decontamination of non-sensitive military material and various facilities that have been exposed to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear agents.
Work will be conducted in Florence, Ky., with completion expected in December 2012.
