Missile Defense Agency Awards $48M IDIQ for 3D Missile Tracking from Unmanned Aircraft

The Missile Defense Agency has announced a research and development award to demonstrate precision three-dimensional tracking of ballistic missiles from a long endurance, high-altitude unmanned air system.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee award has a maximum value of $48, 351, 494. 

It was awarded to General Atomics Aeronautical, Poway, Calif.

The contract was competitively procured via a broad agency announcement with multiple white papers received in response.

The work will be performed through August 2016.
