Microsoft to Enable Virtualization, Mobile Solutions on EPA IDIQ

Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) will provide remote desktop services to allow U.S. Environmental Protection Agency desktop virtualization and application solutions operate on Windows devices.

The EPA awarded a $25 million five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to Accelera Solutions to establish a standard enterprise IT architecture that enables seamless and secure access to agency information from end point devices.

“For complex agencies like the EPA, it is critical to be able to deliver the right computing resources to their employees virtually anytime, anywhere with IT systems that are more secure, flexible and cost-effective, ” said Greg Myers, VP of Microsoft Federal. “We are proud to deliver virtualization solutions that help EPA support their mission to protect human health and the environment more efficiently and effectively.”
