‘B’ is for Victory: Quarter-Billion Dollar DoD Deal for BAE Systems; Boeing Wins, Too

According to the Department of Defense, “BAE Systems was awarded a $250, 128, 753 cost reimbursement – no fee contract.  This requirement will procure Operation Desert Storm Situational Awareness (ODS-SA) long lead material for a total of 247 ODS-SA conversion kits; 202 will be used under the contract to convert vehicles from ODS to ODS-SA configurations in support of the Bradley fighting vehicle.  Work is to be performed in York, Pa., with an estimated completion date of Feb. 28, 2012.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  U.S. Army, TACOM Contracting Center, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-10-G-0003).

“Boeing (NYSE: BA) was awarded a $19, 799, 076 contract modification to fund fiscal 2010 Period II award fee earned for the basic C-17 Globemaster III sustainment partnership contract which provides total system support responsibility to Boeing for the C-17 weapons system.  At this time, $19, 799, 076 has been obligated.  WR-ALC/GRGKA, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity (FA8614-04-C-2004; P00535).”
