Training and tech assistance for Army could mean $140 million for American Systems

On Monday, American Systems announced it was awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award task order contract valued at up to $140 million to provide training services and technical assistance in support of the U.S. Army’s Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO).

Under the terms of the contract, American Systems will compete for task orders to provide training and technical assistance overseas in support of geographically aligned Combatant Commanders Security Cooperation Strategies, U.S. foreign policy and the Global War on Terrorism.  The company will support SATMO SATs  in any U.S. Army field required using various Department of Defense and U.S. Army regulations, policies, procedures and approved training materials.

“Thorough security training is a critical foundation for soldiers and civilians to accomplish operational missions abroad, ” said company president and CEO William C. Hoover.  “With our track record of providing adaptive, sustainable and proven training technologies and processes, American Systems is well-suited to partner with the U.S. Army to deliver rigorous technical and security assistance in support of the U.S. and our allies.”
